The Spring 2003 JOURNAL of the Jackson County Historical
Society features Jefferson Highway: The Palm to Pine Vacation
Route of America, by Carol
Bohl.
One
road that Carol Bohl and our neighbors at the Cass County Historical Society
are following is the Jefferson Highway: The Palm to Pine Vacation Route of
America, a stretch of highway that once passed right through Jackson County.
The route of the old Jefferson Highway is still passable by modern travelers,
and historical markers may soon mark the route. Carol Bohl, Cass County Historical Society, is working to mark the historical route of the Jefferson Highway not only through Cass County, but also Jackson County and other Missouri counties that the Highway went through. If you have information, or would like to help in any way, contact Carol at 400 E. Mechanic, Harrisonville, Mo. 64701. Websites
